Pata or Pota son of Ashkenazi was a descendant of Romaniote Jews in ancient Ashkenaz (Northeast Anatolia) and was the Jewish E-Y6938 MRCA nephew of the Varkonites Edemen and Ed being the son of their Varkunite sister and grandson of their Hunno-Bulgar Father Csaba and his Hvarezmi wife. He was born after the migration of the Hvarezmi from Hvarezm into Causasian Albania in the 460sCE but before the 520sCE. It was through Pota that Csaba became the ancestor of the Aba clan.
