Aba, somewhere between the 520s and 720s, became the E-Y6940 clan descended from Pota and his Varkunite mother the Daughter of Csaba the Hun and his Hvarezmi wife. This Chelarevo clan of Aba converted to Judaism under their king Bulan in the mid 700s and became the ancestors of many Ashkenazi lineages. They established Cuzdrioara when they retreated from Chelarevo as the Moravians began to expand. It was also from the House of Aba that the Bulanids of Old Halychyna descended.
