Indeed it is known that the Jews do not delay when it comes to burial as they are required to bury on the same day.
The form: Yahudi may be derived from the root as follows: Hawada/ , transformed to Haada (delayed/ repented): Yahwudu/ transformed to Yahudu (1-to delay/ 2-to repent and act righteously: and here the two opposite meanings of the root word Haad take the same linguistic structure YAHUDU): However at the level of the noun in the Holy Quran they differ: he is Yahwudi/ transformed to Yahudi = a Delayer; and he is a Haa'id = repenting and acting righteously; hence: Alazeena Haadu in the Holy Quran = the Torah observing Jews . According to this analysis, the Yahudi (singular)/Yahūd (plural) refer to the ones who delay the repentance or the return to the Truth. NB this is contrary to [[Jews in the Quran|Alazeena Haadu]].
