 Abu Bakr was succeeded by Umar who managed to unite the Ishmaelites of [[Tachkastan]] and the Jews from Edessa in a campaign to retake the Holy Land.
 Following Umar's conquest of Jerusalem in 636, there was a concerted effort by the Byzantines to assist in the establishment of the Oriental Orthodox Church. It was formulated along Byzantine lines of Patriarchal Apostolic succession to which it called the Miaphysite Noahides who lived under the rule of Umar.

 Umar ordered Zaid ibn Thabit to collect Hanzala's narrations when he was refused access to a MusHaf of them preserved by Hani ibn Qabisa.

The Alid leader was supposed to suceed Muawiya but was assasinated and Mawiya was succeeded by his son Yazid ibn Muawiya in 680 who in turn was succeeded by Muawiyya ibn Yazid in 683 before Abdul Malik ibn Marwan conquered them all in 684. Relatively few Miaphysite Noahides survived independently as Paulicians.
