This article theorizes that Abu Bakr was the chief of the Pahlavi Banu Bakr Yazdanist Jews and not related to the Quraysh tribe as stated in the Standard Islamic Narrative. It also theorizes that the Banu Bakr joined the Parthian Allies of Heraclius in the 620s against Sassan until they were conquered by the Quraysh in 633.
