This article theorizes that Abu Bakr was the chief of the Banu Bakr tribe and not related to the Quraysh tribe as stated in the Standard Islamic Narrative. It also theorizes that the Banu Bakr were proto-Karaites and joined the Parthian Allies of Heraclius in 622 against Sassan until they were demoted by the Quraysh in 633.
