The Koine Greek word '''Gnosis''' refers to the Jewish Theological concept of "Bina" as a kind of Knowledge usually referred to as "Understanding" and is used by Gnostic Baptists who have adopted Kabbalah (Jewish Theology) to refer to the light which shines in creation from Bina. The concept entered Roman Christianity as "Sophia". Gnostic Baptists were most common in Arabia which the Roman Church described as haeresium ferax, the “bearer” (or “mother”) of heresies. The phrase Arabi Mubeen itself refers to Devotees of Bina. Gnostics are derogatorily called Apostates or Heathens or Heretics by other Christians being Hanifa or Hanpa (corrupt) in Semitic languages because of their adherence to Kabbalah (Jewish Theology). Certain Arabian Devotees of Bina in Late Antiquity embraced the term Hanifa as a name for Abraham to remind that a man of such righteousness as Abraham descended from such a corrupt person as Serug.
