Nasara is a word used in the Quranic materials written by the Idumeans to refer to a type of Injeel-reading adoptionists who regard any Messiah (and only a Messiah) as G-d's son.

They they might have been real Nestorians who appear similar to Ebionites possibly identifiable with the proto-Maronite Monothelites.

Others suggested that they were the Gnostics.

Others suggest that they were Karaite followers of Plony Yeshu HaNotzri Ben Stada.
