Having identified from the Quran som ekey elements of the Hoodan belief system which certainly clear the Jews from the charge of being labelled Yahūdu, it is time now to turn to the Hadith. At least we may be able to gather from the Hadith some more information about the nature of the Hoodan belief system in order to see if some kind of identity emerges for these people. Bukhari's Hadith disgracefully paint a very two faced picture of Mahomed (PBUH) towards the Yahūdu unlike the Quran which is 100% negative. The inconsistencies are 1) that Mahomed (PBUH) respects their Mosaic knowledge. 2) that Mahomed (PBUH) interacts with them kindly. 3) that Mahomed (PBUH) curses them.
