Hanzalah

Hanzalah b. Tha'labah b. Sayyar al-'Ijli was a poet through whom victory was attained at the battle of Dhi Qar who succeeded Hani ibn Qabisa as the last Abu Bakr and Rosh Ma'amad of the Lakhmids before the time of Muthana ibn Harith. He is said to have become a Sabi. He was confused with many other people until the time of Abbasids when the origin story was discovered to have been a myth and was thrown out.
