Cyaxares II, entitled "Gubaru" (Mighty/Hero), descendant of the Midianite Hebrewswho were conquered by the Medes (מָדַ֖י). He is called Darius the Mede (דָרְיָ֖וֶשׁ הַמָּדִ֑יor דָרְיָ֙וֶשׁ֙ [מָדָיָא כ] {מָֽדָאָ֔ה ק}) in the Bible. His kingdom was named after Medea of Colchis who died there after she left Athens.
