Gabriel ibn Khalifah al-Kalbi was the twin brother of Dihyah ibn Khalifah al-Kalbi as sons of Hormizd of Nisibis's Idumean council of the righteous. He was a Proto-Karaite who ran a Noahite mission for the Alid Messianic Mithreans in Persia. His mission was opposed by the Quraysh Proto-Karaites.

He was the official Bard for the Idumeanss in Khosrow II's army.
