Ha-Garim or Ha-Gerim or Ha-Geirim meaning The Gers or The Pilgrims or The Migrants is the Miqra's word for Muslamai. This is the epithet given to Keturah which was changed in an attempt to distinguish the two by the Karaites around 1000 years ago when they inserted the Nikudot into the Masoretic text. In Islamic literature they are called Tsabi.
Hagarim who are not baptised only send sacrifices.
Hagarim who are baptised are called Toshavim and preserve several observations:
- They say La ilaha il allah.
- They read Pslams 5 times a day.
- They prostrate facing the equator.
- They Fast for 30 days in the Tenth month to commemorate the Fast of Adam.
