Bulgarios refers to the Edemen ruler associated with Aliocus and Bayan I and the Pannonian Cozar People who acquired Dacia (Romania) during the reign of Emperor Maurice. Aliocus was evicted to Bavaria in 631 and Edemen installed a new Chagan over Dacia until there was a revolt by their Kubiar subjects in 677 forcing the Avars of Nulgarios to retreat into Szekelyland.
