Heber (5th generation after Noah's flood) was the father of all Hebrews while the patron prophet of those who converted to Judaism is Abdullah (Obadiah) the Proselyte of Edom who is referred to in the Quranic Materials as Hud of Aad.
There is also a Jewish theory that these converts may have been taking a Kabbalic approach to Christianity being convinced that they were people of Esau and may have regarded Jesus as a sort of Prophetic Messiah for the children of Esau in much the same way that Moses was to the children of Jacob.
