Nimrod conquered the people of Canaan as a Master of Animals. Thus he became renowned as a mighty hunter before the lord and was called Nimrod. He seized control of [[כנען|Canaan]] raising his "Hivites" over the [[רפאים|Rephaim]] while the Israelites were in [[מצרים|Mitzraim]].
Nimrod was the father of [[דמשק אליעזר|Eliazer]], progenitor of [[שבא|Sheba]] and [[דדן|Dedan]] who joined the people of Abraham.
