Through Anu/Caelus/Uranus/Set and Nimrod, "Cush" was extended into the Middle east (Kish) by marriage to Havilah and Ra'amah respectively, both daughters of of Cush son of Ham.
Nimrod conquered the people of Canaan as a Master of Animals. Thus he became renowned as a mighty hunter before the lord and was called Nimrod. He seized control of Canaan raising his "Amorites" over the Rephaim while the Israelites were in Mitzraim.
