When the Enochian generation of Cain discovered its evil origins, filled with remorse it repented and was granted immortality. Similarly, because the Noach generation of Cain walked with God it was referred to as the son of Seth, but all other descendants of Cain would always be known as Nephilim.

Enochians began to serve as an elf-like priesthood in anti-dilluvian times as the Apkallu and although the Tanakh does not mention how, their descendants who survived the deluge continued this role afterwards in Egypt whence the idea of "the little people" was spawned into Europe. Their descendants included the Rechabites. Even Moses' teacher Jethro-Shuaib was a Cainite priest of Enoch sent to Midian.
