His sons included Sheshi, Akiman, and Talmai. According to Greek Mythology he was a son of Oceanus (Ea/Seth), although the Bible records that he was a son of Arba.
He lost the Io Palestinians of Gaza to the Caphtorim of Telegonus King of the West.
Anak-idbu succeeded by Yanassi son of Anak who was replaced by Apis/Apepi who was succeeded by Pharaoh of Exodus 5:1.
