Following the success of he who became Abraham over Amraphel's Akkadian Empire, it was split into two nations. Abraham's Assyrians took control in the north and later on the remnant of Nimrod's titans regrouped to establish Babylonia in the south. The Abrahamic Assyrian lineage is represented by Y-Haplogroup R while the Babylonian children of the original Ashur (whose cities the Abrahamic Assyrians occupied) belonged to Y-Haplogroup J.
