Following the demise of The House of Terah which was established when he who became Abraham overcame Amraphel of Nimrod, The House of Terah was split into two nations. Abraham's Assyrians took control in the north and later on the remnant of Nimrod's titans regrouped to establish Babylonia in the south. The Abrahamic Assyrian lineage is represented by Y-Haplogroup R while the Babylonian children of the original Ashur (whose cities the Abrahamic Assyrians occupied) belonged to Y-Haplogroup J.
